Hallie Kraus, CFP®

Financial Planner

When I was in college, I was an idealistic student with a yearning to make a difference, but wasn’t sure where to channel it.

I found myself working at a non-profit credit counseling agency shortly after graduating, and despite the challenging nature of speaking to people in difficult economic circumstances, I discovered I loved educating and empowering people to take small steps that would eventually improve their livelihoods. It was this experience that inspired me to provide more proactive advice to clients about increasing their financial stability and preserving their wealth.

In 2014, I began my career in wealth management at a corporate firm, and in 2017, I was lucky enough to find a home at The Humphreys Group. Their mission to address the unique challenges that we face as women was one that profoundly resonated with me, and now I get to spend every day developing financial plans and conducting research that ultimately helps women accomplish their ambitions and give back in ways that matter to them.

Weekend activity that makes me better at work: Taking leisurely walks through Golden Gate Park. Nothing is more refreshing to me than fresh air and (if I’m lucky) a good dose of Vitamin D!

Book on my bedside table: Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

Favorite hobby: Attending local concerts, comedy shows and inspiring talks by my favorite artists and role models.

My motto: “It is impossible to feel grateful and depressed in the same moment.” – Naomi Williams

From my fifth-grade report card: Hallie is a bright and hardworking student. She quickly memorized all fifty state capitals and did an excellent job on her recent report on Theodore Roosevelt. She loves to read and often shares book recommendations with the class.
